Ái Phương and Thanh Phong's traditional Vietnamese wedding was absolutely AWESOME!! I get captured one of my closest friend from college on the happiest day of her life and celebrating such a special special occasion with all of her love ones. With such a fun filled day mixed in with some very emotional moments, these photos just absolutely scream love and joy.
If you haven't already, check out Ái Phương and Thanh Phong's Vietnamese Engagement Ceremony (Dam Hoi) which I photographed in Phương's hometown of Bristol, Connecticut in July of last year (yes, talking about interstate :)) as well as the Engagement Session that was actually taken mostly in my yard :) Now I am very proud to say that Phương and Phong complete wedding story are on the blog!
Oh did I mentioned that this is a traditional Vietnamese Wedding? Vietnamese wedding tradition in full form is quite long and lately, it has been abbreviated to keep the day relative short but for Phương and Phong, it was all or nothing. The Vietnamese wedding ceremony is actually quite similar (it's almost the same) to the Vietnamese Engagement Ceremony (Dam Hoi) so if you read my blog above about Phuong and Phong's engagement ceremony, it would be very easy to follow the images below. In essence, Vietnamese wedding tradition include two "tea" ceremonies in the morning, one at the bride's parent house to formally give the bride away and one over at the grooms parent house to formally welcome the bride into the family. So with that, here is their gorgeous gorgeous wedding with moments that I truly hope would last with them forever.
DUCK FACE :)
